Open Space Youth Chapter

Open Space has traditionally been a ministry for young adults seeking a faith community, but after hearing a need and desire from the community for a space like ours for the youth of North County, Open Space Youth was born! Open Space Youth aims to create a space for our youth to develop a personal faith within an affirming community that supports them along the way.

For Open Space Youth, we have adapted the traditional Open Space model to best serve the youth in our community. One meeting a month is modeled after the Open Space Monthly Gathering that centers around a discussion of a Values Based topic that is not overtly Christian. The second meeting of the month comprises of Soul Check-ins where we invite one another to answer the questions "How is it with your soul?" and "How is your life with God?" (the invitation allows for people to pass if they do not feel like answering), followed by a Bible Study. We will share in a meal together at every Open Space Youth gathering!
